Bonawe House Grounds

Bonawe House is set in a beautiful rural localtion on the edge of the village of Taynuilt, over looking Loch Etive and the mountains surrounding it. The grounds consist of beautiful mature trees and bushes surrounded by fields. There are plenty of tables and chairs around outside for guests to enjoy the peace and tranquility of our gardens

Immediately Around Bonawe House

Bonawe House is surrounded by farmland, Loch Etive and the River Awe. There are lots of beautiful walks of all lengths from the house. The centre of the village is a 15 minute walk away along quiet roads.

Bonawe Iron Furnace.
This Historic Scotland site is right next door to the house. Bonawe House was originally the managers house for the furnace

Loch Etive.
The beach on Loch Etive just in front of the house, just 5 minutes walk. An ideal place for walks, playing and launching boats

Upper Loch Etive.
Looking up Loch Etive from the end pier in front of the house a lovely 10 minute walk

Inverawe Country Park and Fisheries.
A beautiful 15 minute walk through fields from the rear of the house. It has nature trails, a tea room, a play park and fly fishin for experts or beginners

Taynuilt Village

Taynuilt village centre has a hotel, grocers, butchers, post office, hairdresers, tea room, train station and doctors surgery.

Tea room in the centre of the village that serves the most delicious food around.

The Taynuilt Hotel.
Great atmosphere for a drink and lovely "pub grub". 15 minutes walk away in the centre of the village.

Taynuilt Highland Games.
Taynuilt Highland Games are held on the sports fields in the centre of the village every July.

Oban

Oban is 25 minutes drive away and has a wide variety of shops, supermarkets, hotels and restaurants.
