Lovely informal riding school it's where our kids learnt to ride.  The hour sessions tend to take you through the wilder country depending on ability. This is at the back road in Oban by Glencruitten, near the golf course. Please get directions when you book.

Excellent reports of this 4* horse riding centre with indoor facility. You have to book in advance. They do a lead rein for 4-8 year olds, and we were very impressed with the interest they take in the children. For longer rides it’s 8 and up. New for 2009, they now have claypigeon shooting, bungee trampolines, climbing wall and picnic area. 40 minutes drive. From Taynuilt go left onto the A85 towards Dalmally & Crainlarich. Turn right between Lochawe and Dalmally signed to Inverararay. Go under the white arch at Inveraray and turn right. You drive out of the village towards Lochgilphead and it’s along there.

They have an all weather arena. 1 hr 30 min by car. From Taynuilt head towards Oban, turn left at Connel towards Fort William, and before the bridge turn right on the single track road to Kilmore. Re-join the main road south at Kilmore, and head past Kilmelford, Arduaine gardens, and turn right at Craobh Haven.
